White Smokes are top-flight backcountry skiing/riding soft shells with waterproof reinforcements to defy in-flux weather. With 2-layer stretch-woven waterproof reinforcements on the jacket's shoulders, elbows and backs of arms, and on the pants' seat and knees. Inside, soft-textured polyester mesh moves moisture away from the body. An innovative stitch less, Welded Seam construction enhances compressibility, water-resistance and durability, and minimizes weight. On the jacket, the contoured hood easily accommodates a helmet. Exterior pockets can be accessed under a harness or pack straps; the torso pockets are also fast-for- ward vents for airflow. One internal mesh pocket holds climbing skins; the other is designed for a music player with cable routing holes for a headset. Features include an adjustable stretch powder skirt with gripper elastic and anatomically contoured elbows. Pant features: Waist adjusts with internal hook-and-Ioop closures and has wide belt loops; articulated knees; fully featured gaiters; heavy-duty edge guards; and four easily accessible pockets (two hand, two thigh).
